Common Threads Let's get a million kids cooking brochure
Common Threads, one of the country's earliest champions of childhood wellness, was ready to announce an ambitious new goal: teach one-million kids to cook in the next five years. They asked TURNER to create communication materials that captured this bold vision with a compelling new voice. Founded in 2003 by Chef Art Smith and artist Jesus Salgueiro, Common Threads has been teaching children living in underserved communities how to cook healthy meals in professionally led, curriculum-based after school programs. Headquartered in Chicago, today Common Threads is working in East Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Miami, and Washington, D.C.
"I became familiar with Ann and Steve's work from a spectacular ad I saw in Chicago Magazine in 2006. From that moment, I wanted to work with them, and I am thrilled that we were able to benefit from their branding campaign for Common Threads. What distinguishes them is that their messaging is filled with clarity, heart and generosity. They put the very human face on our efforts and we could not be happier with the results."
