I AM TURNER Creates New Eric and Kathy Campaign for the Mix
CHICAGO, Illinois, June 2013 – What happened to the Mix Music (101.9fm –WTMX-FM) outdoor boards? Did some over-enthusiastic Eric and Kathy fan deface them in an odd homage to the number one morning program in Chicago?
The calls started to come into the station reporting “something happened to your outdoor board on I-88, or the 294 expressways.” But quickly, Chicago was in on the joke.
This year’s Eric and Kathy campaign was so simple. We took the stunning creative for the 2013 Mix Music Outdoor Boards, featuring Pink, Adam Levine, Taylor Swift, Rhianna, Bruno Mars, Adele and repainted the boards like we were crazy Eric and Kathy fans.
Soon Taylor had an eye patch and Adele a goatee. Adam had a black eye and Pink had “Fu Manchu” mustache. We painted Eric and Kathy’s name across the boards. We even painted “Rahm loves Eric and Kathy” across a board.
This is the eighth outdoor campaign Turner has created for Eric and Kathy.
